ASASU Expands Health Services
University Health Services is expanding its services this spring! The new, holistic approach is intended to inspire good physical, mental and academic outcomes for students, put together by ASASU will include wellness service such as acupuncture, chiropractic and massage available at more times and locations on all campuses. For more information visit https://eoss.asu.edu/health/services/wellness .
Additionally, the new initiative created by the Associated Students of Arizona State University (ASASU) provides more staff for counseling and health insurance navigation, support and advocacy.
ASASU is also announcing to students the launch of Therapy-Assisted Online or, TAO Connect, an online self-help resource to support students with stress reduction and mental health. Students can sign up for TAO Connect at: https://thepath.taoconnect.org and click on “sign up in TAO self-help” using their asu.edu email.
Walk-in STI testing is now easier than ever, with no appointment necessary on all four campuses. For those without insurance, or who choose not to bill insurance, the self-pay rate is reduced to only $20 per test.
Wellness vending machines will also be introduced in the coming months at the Polytechnic and West campuses as the first steps to provide the convenience of 24/7 on-campus access to over the counter medications and personal hygiene products where local retail pharmacies are not easily accessible at all hours of the day. To learn more, go to wellness.asu.edu .
This is being done because ASASU believes any student should be able to access services and resources that support health and well-being without financial barriers. We will do our part to advocate for services that promote the holistic health of all Sun-Devils and continue to ensure cost is not a deterrent in the access of these services.
Happy New Year, Be Well, and Go Devils!
